veccy c 2.0 dti and 2.2dti

hello,

can someone please start there car 2.0dti or 2.2dti open the bonnet and tell my if your vacum make a grinding noise its not loud but its definately there on mine, and i dont know if its a normal noise it dont strike me as being normal,

just incase you dont know if you open the bonnet its on the drivers side next to the bonnet open sensor it says VAC and OUT on it,

if you pull one of the pipes of this noise stop lack of pressure i guess

just need to know if its a noise that they all have

in light of my recent starting issues i am having to check every last little thing

Just had a look mate mine makes a humming sound & not very loud, could only just hear it along side the noise from the engine.

brilliant dh think mines had it proper then i think the garage who did my service has put them back the wrong way round i will let you know when i find out more

As far as I recall, the pipe entering the "VAC" should go to the vacuum pump on the right side of the engine (it should also Tee off and go across the front of the engine and up to a vacuum solonoid mounted to the rear of the airbox) and I cant remember exactly where the "OUT" should go, I think it goes to the intake manifold, but I could be wrong.
