My vectra sri CDTi 150 handles ok in my opinion. I suppose handling is very much a personnal opinion though but I can honsetly say, mine has never caused me to question its handling abilities. As for your over questions, sorry I have no knowledge.
Yes same here mine handling seems fine .like on rails sometimes and with tyres like this no wonder
I only have the 1.8Ivvt SRI but am very impressed with the handling, for such a big car it sticks to the road very well, having always had small sporty hatchbacks before I was concerned prior to getting the vecy but there was no need!
Mine isn't even an sri, it's an active model & the suspension is standard at the mo (until next week).
Mine handles fine too, maybe it's your driving style lol...
There are a few different supension set ups available for the Vec, have a look on the LMF website matey.
Think you need to get your suspension set-up checked mate, as the SRi is the best handling of the lot, bar the VXR...
What did you drive previously..?
Try fitting a set of Eibach's. It will lower it by around 20mm and give firmer but more sure footed handling. Having said that, the SRi should handle just fine as it is, maybe you are expecting too much from it compared to what you have been driving.
It is a car that weighs over a ton and a half don't forget
sorry no real probs with mine just a bit twichy on the backl end i think its personnel choice i have just lowered mine 30mm i just wanted to firm it up its what it needed in my opinion good handling car for a big veccy
thanks for the replys lads but i find the back end very very light and switchy
i tryed to drive it to work the other day and the thing didnt give me any confidence the steering is too light as well
thats my previous car there
shes a 2000 plate sri 2.6 v6 on standard suspension and she would ouyt handle the new car hands down
the new car is on goodyear nct5's and the previous one had eagle f1's but i dont think that would have much to do with it tbh
just think the new one is a crap car at corners lol!
Eibachs are a must.... it gets rid of all the 'sagginess' in the twisties..
