now that looks like alot of fun and reach 179mph
they forgot to tell you they were useing race fuel and slicks
but then the gtr also used race fuel but still dam fast in my book
that video is just totaly foooookin awsome......fantastic driving...
Interesting to see the fastest FWD is a Megane.
Yep.
I read that these some of these tests are a bit misleading, but nevertheless, great lap.
Nissan GTR is only a few seconds behind at its latest 7:29, and will surely be a lot easier to drive fast than that tail happy one.
ZR1 638 bhp for $100,000 (£50,000)
VXR8 is using a 'vette engine now I believe, so you never know - next VXR could have the same beastly engine.
you mean the race version R26R...
but according to chrisgettings list, an Astra OPC tuned by Steinmetz was 3 seconds faster
bmw X-5 7:50
just looked further down that wiki page-----Ford Capri--------7:08
They (GM engineers) manage to do this with ....... cough ..... leaf spring suspension, not (oh so screamed about) multilink. The engine uses (simple and reliable) super charger ( not a sensitive variable geometry turbo), has only 2 valves per cylinder (not 4 or 5 valves per cylinder) and injects the fuel with 20 year old sequential fuel injection (not direct fuel injection). It would go even better with carbourator if it wasnt for the gass emission. There are no computers to control ... everything, no 4WD.
The worlds fastest car is not using cutting edge technology, instead it is using 30 years old technology. Even the price is old, it costs only 100.000$.
The carbon-ceramic brakes (for which you normally have to pay 15.000 euro extra ) you get for free.
This car has proved that all this computer progress which happened in the last 25 years is fake and that we don't need it. The car doesn't need 5 CPUs or ECUs and 56 sensors to run fine. It just needs good mechanical engineering. And for the record I am officially in love with this car.
