Cheap, its about £500-£600 new isn't it? You can pic up elements for about £20-£30 though.

Elements 6 is £70 direct from Adobe.

I ran CS2 fine on my Vista laptop, I only needed to upgrade to I could use the latest Adobe Camera RAW for my Nikon D60 pictures.

You'll not got it "cheap" unless it's a dodgy copy. If all you want if for is messing about with, have a look at GIMP

As above, Photoshop and cheap don't go together in the same sentence unless it's a dodgy copy - and before any idiot posts up a link to somewhere that has such, don't! It'll get you an instant infraction.

As also said, Elements is a scaled down version for much less £££.

You said you've already got CS2. Assuming it's a legit copy then there's no reason why it won't work on Vista. Looking at the Adobe web site, whilst it's not officially supported under Vista it says "Installs and runs with minimal known issues."

Also if the CS2 you have is a legit version, then you can upgrade to CS3 for around £100(ish) + VAT.
