    Default Flowtec-Saugrohre (Vectra C Z18XE)

Hello people, I'm totally new here and since a couple of weeks the proud owners of a black 2002 Vectra C 1.8-v16.
I've tuned my former car totally and already I've got plans to modify my new one.
I first want to focus on performance this time, instead of the looks of the car. It already looks great in my opinion/

Been looking around for some engine enhancement and next to chiptuning ran into this thing: http://www.leidinger-tuning.de/31102...-saugrohre.htm

According to the website it boosts performance for the 1.8 engine with 28hp. This looks a bit too much to me. Does anyone have any experience with this product? And the combination with a chiptuning increase of 11hp?

Thank you very much! I'm already very happy with this website. It's prety hard to find tuning material for this type of car over here in the Netherlands and I'm happy I can look around here for the nice things that I want and to see that there are things available for it.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

For 1250 euros that Dblias is an expensive bolt on bit of kit, the 2.2 guys use there zorst manifolds but for intake there are cheaper options for us so we tend to steer clear of the inlets. THB I think it would be better for you just to port match and open up all the runners on your stock item, you will gain top end but might lose a bit of torque, then just get a custom map. The only way your going to get big power out of your 1.8 though would be bolting on a turbo. Dbilas also do these kits.
    Here is there site.

    And a dealer for you.

Thanks. Been looking into more mechanical tuning and the website you pointed out has a lot of good stuff.

Been looking for performance ignition cables but haven't been able to come up with products that can provide my Denso Iridium spark plugs with sufficient juice. Do you happen to know a manufacturer that makes these kind of wires for my engine type?

The Z18XE engine which is the same as I have fitted, does not use spark plug leads. There is a coil pack which connects straight to the plugs.
If you wanted to improve the feed to them, it would mean putting a different coil pack on somehow?

Realy? Hmm, should have taken a better look when installing the spark plugs. Are you sure it's not possible to replace the wires from the coil pack to the spark plugs? This seams weird to me, but I haven't had the time to look at the engine properly so I can only rely on your information.

I don't think there are high performance coil packs so replacing it will not be usefull (well, the car is 6 years old, so it would be a nice moment to install a new OEM one).

Will have a good look at the engine next week to figure out some of this stuff and get a proper view of what I want to do with it.

    Thanks!

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I see on the Dbilas website, they have a chip for the 3.2 V6. Does anyone have any experience of this chip?
