Car with spanner light is the engine electronics and tranmission electronics fault light. If you've not got an auto box you can ignore the latter.

As the light has gone off I wouldn't worry about it until it comes back on again.

This light has an occasional habit of momentarily coming on, but providing it doesn't remain on then there is nothing to worry about.

As for a handbook, you can download them for free from Vauxhall's website.

    Change dealers m8

Tech2 should throw up an error code so they should know what it is or they should not be in business

If it comes on with the ignition and goes out when you start it there's a good chance its just a stored fault code and not present.

Had this on happen on mine.. turned out to be a random misfire that was not present but the ECU stored the fault code for reference

It means there is an active fault if its on all the time. Get it booked into the dealers mate. If it flashes while driving, it advises you to stop asap as it is causing damage.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
