    Default Heater problem with air direction, poss canbus?

    Had a new stereo installed in 3.2 gsi 04 all works graet but i dont seem to have any heated front screen and the air direction control does not do a thing.

    It all worked fine befor though.

    Any ideas

    Have you checked all the wires are still plugged in? You may have accidently pulled one out while fitting the stereo.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    pull the battery for an hour , might reset its self .

    not sure what you mean with new stereo but if you have ECC and if the display has been replaced the ECC needs to be paired again via Tech2...

    Don't think he has replaced the screen, just removed the stereo. Would this need doing on a half canbus car?

    Wild AL, do you have buttons on the steering wheel? or the scroll ones?
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Its a alpine multi media unit so just the stereo out. I have buttons on the wheel i believe this is cambus operated.

    The standard stereo i took out was a ccr2006 i think built in 4 disk changer

    I think all radios with a graphic or color display (CCRT..., NCDC...) are paired via Tech2 and anyhow the ECC is linked to the unit: after a radio has been replaced, in the reprogramming the ECC must be checked (but I don't know if all GSI's have ECC)

    I think someone should call Dr Tech2
