getting a VXR8 soon. HELP

Right the old man is very serious about getting one of these. i have narrowed it down to 2 cars.
A Black Auto from grimshaws in Manchester,
BLACK_AUTO

and

a red manual from Eden vx near reading

RED_MANUAL

He is still unsure which one to get and Wants some help. So all comments a pluses and negs are welcome will be getting one in the next 7 days so be quick please.

oh by the way he is slightly lame so i think an auto would suit him better

It would be a manual for me (as I dont like autos ).

Only negative is you need to own a petrol station to run one, else go for it

Oh and the road tax will be in the super high tax bracket (which is even more than a Vec VXR).

I'd go for the auto. Not a lot of difference in performance or fuel economy from what i remember reading. Its also black

If i wern't going away at 5am tomorrow i could have had a look at the one at Grimshaws. 2 mile from me.
