Default Holiday days - How many do you get ?

Excluding bank holidays, how many days holiday do you officially have from your employer ?
    This is why i ask..............
    I get 20 days (excluding B/Hol's).
Had to book 1 day at the beginning of the year due to company F*** up.
    19 days left.
I took 4 off in April to have a weeks fishing in France. I had asked for this to be unpaid leave so i could use the days later in the year, but the company refused point blank (Tw4ts ).
    15 days left.
I've booked 9 working days for our holiday this month (+1 day Aug B/Hol day).
    6 days left.
We're going away to Florida for two weeks in Oct/nov so i need 10 working days.
Now this puts me on -4 days..!
And i was told last month when booking those dates off, that the company has withheld 3 days of our 20 to cover the christmas 2008/09 period ! Apparently there'd been a memo sent round at the start of the year, as i work nights, with only 1 other employee with me, we never had/saw the memo so didn't know !
So i now go down to............ -7 days ..!
This is the first time we've ever had 2 foreign family holidays in the same year and i've worked 65-70hrs+ most weeks since January to be able to do it !
We all work damn hard to be able to afford our holidays, but as a country, i think i'm correct in saying that the UK is last in terms of the "Official" amount of days off given and we work (on average) more hours than our European collegues !
I opted out of the maximum 48 hour limit rule cus i'm a greedy sod and want nice things for me and my family and don't usually mind doing a little overtime on weekends, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to earn "extra days off" when you hit a certain number of worked hours each month ?

Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !

i get 30 days and if i work a bank holiday then i get a day in lieu to book off
but if i book a week off (6 days) between my 2 days rest and a 4 day weekend, then i get nearly 2 weeks off work but only use 6 days, and i have all my annual leave still to use up in the next 6 months, as i have been off work sick

I get a load of time off:

    Annual leave - 270 hours (30 days)
Bank Holiday compensation - 80 hours (on average - depends on when Easter occurs)
    Charity contribution - 90 hours (10 days)

On top of that my shifts give me a lot of days off in a row (I'm currently in the middle of 15 days off for 7 days leave).
