Default Do I have A Problem Needing Looking Into?

Whilst I was taking the wheels off today to give them a good clean and waxing I noticed on just one wheel (N/S/R) there was a distinct line imbeded into the dirt and was substantialy stuborn to remove.
It was dead straight and has obviously occured due to rotation of the wheel.
I did suspect the shock leaking onto it but then realised the shock couldn't be sitting within the wheel

Could this be a sign of something leaking or what could ofcaused this mark?

If it was a brown colour then dont worry about it it will just be rust stains from your disc if it has been very wet and the wheel facing into the rain then it will stain the wheel only other thing it could be is brake fluid but that would be permanently wet if it had a leak

As Duncan said a piccy tells a thousand words !!!!!

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

No, all nice & shiney now
I'd guess it was in line with the disc and it was like a lip raised from the surface of the wheel. Once the lip which was like loose dirt came off the remaining stain was very stuborn to remove.

I'll just keep an eye on it & see what occurs now they're clean.

Could it have been the remains of the lubricant they use when fitting the rubber to the wheel?

About half way in the wheel? If so, possible, it did have a new tyre fitted.

Depends on how sloppy the fitter was, and if they cleaned it properly afterwards??
