    Default Hello from San Diego!!

Hi Folks hows it going over there in blighty!

nice and warm - 77degrees F and very sunny!!

Ive been facinated by the cars over here once again! - we were going to get a Pontiac G6 (epsilon) but got upgraded to a Grand Cherokee!! - bit like driving a barge - the yanks have not still got to grips with handling/suspension! - its a brand new one with 1K on the clock - but split lines are huge and alignment of doors is well out!! - but hey - great and lazy 3.7 V6 up front.

The other thing that amazes me is that you dont see a dirty car - even underneath (my girlfriend thought I was mad when I was having a shifty under a Malibu max - epsilon again! - the other day!!)

quite fancy a new mustang though!

Ah - 'she' is working at the moment so I am enjoying stuff 'she' doesnt like! - Drove 2 hours up to Chino Hills today to visit Yanks air museum and Planes of Fame (which is like IWM Duxford) - great drive - THANK GOD we have brought our Sat Nav with us as I didnt have my trusty navigator with me!!!.

Chino is a meca for warbird Enthusiasts worldwide - its a Fantastic place!

Luckily we can get wireless in our hotel room - and 'she' has brought her laptop with her - so I can keep in touch!

I attach a pic I took about 2 hours ago on my drive back to San Diego along interstate 5!!

I won't bore you with pics of warbirds!

They don't do roundabouts. Too hard for them to understand!

Driving on the interstate in the US at rush hour is mental. If you leave any sort of gap in front of your car, someone will fill it and they overtake on both sides! Been loads of times now, but driving there still gets me wound up.

MLC - I like your line! - bumped into Mr Steve Hinton (who is God in the warbird world) great chap!

Ive found interstate quite relaxing in this part of the US - even in rush hour - soon get used to undertaking - but most of the time everyone just sits in the lane (much as the middle lane drivers do in the UK!) - only seen a couple of Chavs in their beat up civic doing lane crossing

mind dont know what I would do without sat nav!! - signage - no cant work it out!

    Filled up yesterday - 14 gallons - £22.00!!!
