Default Can anyone recommend me some tyres?

Im after some tyres to fit my vectra 2.2 sri 2003, it has the standard 17" sri wheels. im not made of money so cant get goodyears or bridgestones etc but at the same time not after cheepies that only last a few miles.... so can anybody recommend any makes/sizes and places to buy and would i be best with a 40,45 or 50 profile? Last thing, the tyres that came on the car stick out from the face of the wheel and these tyres make alot of road noise even around town, how can i avoid buying these, are they a certain type or name. pretty sure there 50 profile if that helps anyone? Many thanks

Try Fulda's and go for 225/45 R 17 as they are a more popular size in whatever you decide to buy . The fulda's are around £65 onwards. HTH

    225 45 R17
If you want to save money, then visit camskill.co.uk and purchase the Good Year at between £60 and £80 each which includes delivery

Contact a few local tyre fitters and see what they will charge for refit and balancing per tyre
Some will charge a flat rate, others will have a sliding scale per tyre
My local charges £15 for one tyre and £20 for two tyres

When compared to national brands that can save you anything between 20% and 50%

Only look at and purchase 225/45R17

    Item number: 150275059595
Given that's £69 per tyre, you may as well purchase Good Years from camskill

    Item number: 150275040976
    £44.50 per tyre
You're really going to get what you pay for with that
Dreadful wet weather handling and very poor wear

You've then got to add fitting to those prices
I'm quite sure your local tyre fitter can match the above, I know mine can

You need tyres with a MINIMUM rating of 91V
However, I would recommend you increase that to 91W

    Other options include :
    91Y
    94W
    94Y

You don't need XL tyres, these tyres have a different construction method, also using a higher tyre pressure
They are recommended for the larger, heavier engines, such as the 2.8, 3.0, and 3.2
The only vectra they are mandatory for is the 3.0 V6 CDTI automatic estate
