Back fog lights for M.O.T?? Help please

Hi, I have a 2003 vectra sri which is due in for its m.o.t in the morning, I was checking the back lights and noticed that i only have 1 fog light on at the right side as you look at the back. I put a new bulb in but it still doesnt work (the old bulb looked fine too) I take it Its meant to have 2 rear fogs?? I dont have a manual so i cant check, Any help/advice would be a big help, if its not a fog then i dont know what that lights for as its the same level as the other side, Thanks in advance

thats is the legal reqirment only needs a right hand fog lamp .,.and the left one dont work ...for the german market .....and a few other places you can wire it in if you like to make the rear of the car look ok when the light is switched on

Yeah it tricked me last year when i was checking the bulbs for the MOT couldnt figure out why 1 bulb was not working , god knows why they put a bulb in if it dosent work

Yeah Deanos, As i say i thought it looked ok, might wire it in one day though, fingers crossed for the mot

it will pass mo problems m8, as mine went straight through last saturday, after 4 months sitting around while it was waiting for its surgery

Some other makes only have the offside one - and a single reversing light on the nearside. It seems mad that they supply the Vectra with fittings (and even the bulbs) on both sides but only the wiring loom for one side. So as soon as you go onto the continent it's all wrong. Brilliant! Mine is now wired up to both sides.

Is it easy to wire up both/ have you got to take alot apart m8?
