Default the jolly no codes mystery tour

well guys had the old girl (siggy 1.9cdti 150) into the garage (not VX) today after all these limp mode daily episodes and guess what no codes stored!
so off I goes and tells the guy I'll be back in ten mins with the car in limp mode.
sure enough car duly presented in limp mode and yes you guessed it no code!!
what is this all about! so much for diagnostics!
only happens when up to 2000 rpm ish and cruising never when accelerating or at low speed or idle.
couldnt really question the tech device (although not tech 2) it was showing all the live data from the engine which I could see and all was correct.
one thing MAF was reporting 13% at idle any one know if this is correct?

    still scratching me head !

Are you sure their equipment was able to read all the codes, some can't. Maybe its worth turning up to a place with a tech-2 and get them to have a look while the light is on?

    Cheers Big Sig,

Well finally got to the stage of being right royally peed off about all this limp mode stuff so grudgingly got it booked in at the stealers next tuesday, saving grace is that they are giving me a courtesy car which saves me 40 quid then again they charge 75 quid just to point the tech 2 at the car!
need to get this sorted as due to amount of miles i do its a must!
silver lining is that its still covered with warranty direct at 116k miles although i have to pay 50% towards parts, but cant argue with that.

    £75 for Tech2?

Is there another dealer anywhere else you could use? Standard charge is around £40...
