Should be able to get the trip tech2'd in at your VX dealer. No need to buy anything to get one

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

Carry on using the calulator. The trip computer isn't that accurate. Its only really handy to check changing trends in fuel consumption between fill ups.

I have a pre-facelift SRI with a CDR2005 and a trip computer and previously had a pre-facelift 'Active' 1.8 with CDR2005 without a trip computer. As the screen is the same size/type in both cases, I would think the only difference is software, presumably enabled via Tech2. As long as you remember to use the trip computer as a guide rather than gospel for calculating mpg it is preferable to not having one at all IMO.
