Default Best polish for metallic black?

As title says whats the best polish to retore the showroom shine to my wifes metallic black astra sri? Its a 56 plate and his a few swirl marks so it'd need to be something good at removing/ hiding these. I currently have Zymol wash & polish but wasn't impressed with the finish the last time i used it on her car. I also have a tub of Carnuba wax which i haven't used but think this is more for sealing a polished finish or am i wrong? I've never tried the Meguairs stuff & i know it gets good reviews would i be better spending some money on some & if so what should i buy?
I'll be polishing the car on saturday so any advice on what to use is welcomed.

I would try the meguires stuff. I use their Megs"#80,#82 and #83 polish,s and also the "range" you can get from Halfraurds Stage one, Stage Two And Stage Three. Then when you are satisfied with the "finish" you could top it all off with the Canuba wax you mentioned ( what make is the Canuba wax).

You could use megs scratch-x to remove those swirls, but it will be hard work doing it all by hand
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

You won't get rid of those swirls easily by hand. Get a Megs mild clay kit, some AG SRP and then use your wax.
