hi all,my car seems to use a lot of fuel and running roughish,when i looked on the trip computer,i saw the bit which says inst consumption jumping all over the place when the engine is running,it can jump all over the place like be on 34 then it goes to 388 then maybe 999,its all over the place,any body help? many thanks kenny h

That is the instantanios consumption and it will jump all over the place. It's a very quick snapshot, that very second, of how much fuel is being used relative to speed that second.

You need to look at the average consumption.
