Default Hi there - Water getting in my vectra boot

Hello this is my 1st post. please try to help me with this problem
I have a leak in the boot just to the left of the fuse board in the boot i have found the water is getting in under the roof rack moulding and running down betweenthe body panels inside.
How hard is it to remove the moulding to seal the leak? The car is a Vectra C 2004 model. Thankyou for any help Jacko 52

It hasn't happened on mine, I just remembered reading about it Graham.

Someone on here will read the post though and be able offer some more practical advice.

    Default water leak in boot

I'm getting MAD know iv had my car in for a service today so told them about the roof leak and the answer i got back was it was not covered by the 6 year body warranty the car is only 4 years old
In the service book it says body is covered for perforation / bad workmanship /or faulty materials i would have thought the leak came under workmanship or faulty materials[ sealer ]
What do you good people think ?

I have sent a nice email the the Vauxhall customer service department i will let you know how i get on Jacko

Apparently water ingress is only covered under warranty within the 1st year.
Hope you get a helpful reply to you e-mail.
I've never taken them strips off but can only imagine they clip on, gentle persuasion with a blunt non-marking tool should have them up enough for you to get some silicone in there and sort your leak.

Nice one Jacko, thought that would be the best course of action. Glad you got it sorted.
