    Default Tracking.

I don't drive Mrs MLCs car often, but did today and it's got a pronounced pull to the left. You have to put a fair bit of right wheel to stop it.

Before I start ringing around to get the tracking checked/adjusted, what should I be looking to pay. I don't want to get ripped off by a dodgy tyre place.

I had my fronts checked and adjusted recently and it cost £25. The chap checked the rears too but they were fine so didn't charge for them. Should be looking at around £50 all in.

Not teaching you to suck eggs but...

The front wheels only get aligned with reference to the rears. If the thrust angle is not spot on then all 4 wheels will be wrong. If it's pulling badly I'd be tempted to get all 4 wheels aligned...

I am getting mine done on Thursday because the car is pulling to the left. I've rang a couple of places. ATS do a free check and then if it needs adjusting it's £25.99. National tyres £25. I've checked with them and this IS the price for 4 wheel laser alignment

Mine has been pulling to the left slightly just recently - thought it was the road camber. Turned out to be tyre pressure, 33 psi in the left instaed of 36.

Had 4 wheel tracking done a while ago to the tune of 60 notes...

Had the siggy done at tyre web in ashford kent, cost £70.00

you get a before and after computer print out.

mine was well messed up. but drives better now without killing my rear tyres within 8k miles.

have a look on here for "4 wheel geometric alignment".
