Default Fuel comes down and fuel goes up!!

How are we all supposed to live?

British Gas owner Centrica says it is raising gas prices by a record 35% and electricity prices by 9%.
READ HERE: Record rise for British Gas bills

Its just getting silly now IMO.

Where is all this money we are supposed to fork out going??

I cant see any improvements in any services?

Car Tax goes up, Petrol goes up, roads dont get any better?

Are we supposed to get better gas that heats quicker so we use less?

    I D O N T T H I N K S O ?

    Do you?

I got a 1.9% pay rise this year. That scumbag Brown and his failed schoolteacher Home Secretary are offering 2%/year for the next three years.

I'm at the point of giving up. It's just cost me £64 to fill my car up. And it's only going to get worse.

But hey ho! Brown and his mates can add it to their expenses.

I am so fed up with it all, it's never ending. Time to live in a tent and ride a bicycle I think. Is there a tax on tents?

I said to my shop steward. Next year go and tell the MD we want at least 10% pay rise. He said we have got NO CHANCE they will take the work else where. So if you can not get a pay rise to cover your "new" cost of living. Who is going to bale us out when we are in the $hit. Not this Government I bet. They created alot of the misery.

No tax on tents at the mo. But if we start living them they will suddenly be 'harmful to the environment' and be subject of a 75% tax!

    17.5% VAT sadly

Just keep visiting uswitch.com every 6 months and see where the best energy deal is
The local sales rep from e-on used to keep trying it on at my local Tesco, but has come to realise I already shop around "I've asked you before..."

Do you know what makes me more confused than any of this?

The governement is always harping on about the environment, and how everyone should be doing 'their' bit to reduce the negative effect we have on it. Well, I did this by changing my petrol car to a diesel car... so why the f*ck is diesel on average 15p more per liter than unleaded?

I think any level headed person can answer that - the government told us all to go out and buy greener cars just so that we would be forced to pay more for diesel... when I bought the Vectra in December 2006 diesel was about 4p at the most more than unleaded. This I was willing to pay as I would get much more mpg out of it compared to my old car, but now it's 15p more it would of actually been cheaper to run my old car.

The tax on fuel is about 67% right? Well reduce it to 50% and give us people with greener cars a break. Please don't get me started on road tax... extra taxes for 'Chelsea Tractor' drives - they've got the money to pay the extra, they don't care how much you put it up by! The Vectra will cost me another £45 as of next year to tax - what a joke.

If the government want to reduce this negative impact - turn off all the f*cking street lights for 2 maybe 3 hours a night during the earlier hours when there are hardly any people on the roads... and, stop lettling local councils turn on their Christmas lights at the beginning of November.

    Rant over.

    Totally agree with this.

How about putting PIR sensores on between 2:00 am - 4:30 am so they come on as and when rather than all the time!

    Awesome point! Should be considered.

Councillors, if your reading this.......do something useful for once!
