A lot can happen in a month, and most people wouldn't be able to recall normal events that are that old

As for keeping your car secure, did they offer any advice, like keeping your car in a cage at night?

I'm sorry but I disagree, I would be happy for someone to knock my door and give out a bit of advice, ok it was late but a reminder none the less. Its a two way street treat people with respect and you will get respect back, they have a thankless job and I am sure everyone would prefer more police officers. Do you know for sure that there was not any more break ins around your way recently? Maybe they know that after the initial fuss that everyone would make after a break in a couple of doors away that peoples security would start to wain and a little reminder to stay focused was the way ahead.

I think the PCSO is a victim of the system, as a cabby I a used to get screamed at for being late, the same thing I fear is happening here, you've been the victim of a car crime etc, which in the league of things is like a kid scratching his knee the poor PCSO that had to visit you was probably aware of how late in the day it was, but be assured these ppl aren't to blame, they give their time for nothing to help us, and get all the flack because the system fails.

I had a similar thing yrs ago with someone damaging my car, I rang the police and waited, and waited, I rang back to be told there were fights all over the city and I was low priority, whose to blame? not the police, the accountants who penny scrimp to make sure theres enough money for the annual councillers ball, thats who.

I think your confused pcso get paid 23k here it's special constables that give there time for free, and they have more powers infact they have the same powers as a regular officers.

a PCSO is lower in the food chain then a traffic warden, as of yet they have very little powers and in general are a complete waste of time
the ones i have dealt with think they are in fact coppers and try to throw their weight about, the wifes best friend is a PCSO and keeps banging on about i have done this, i have done that when she cant do hardly any of it
she also drives her car about on a provisional licence with no L plates or qualified driver, she seems to think she is untouchable
get rid of them and put the money towards getting more police on the streets
