    Default Dust caps

    Not sure if this is the right section but does anyone have any suggestions for good anti-theft dust caps ? The thieving little ba**ards keep pinching mine , even the cheap ones

    Just fit the black plastic one's Craig,then when you go to a meet fit your nice shiny one's,thats what i did........

    Richbrook do some nice anti-scrote ones.

    Just be careful with metal caps though - if you leave them too long, the metal can actually fuse with the valve thread and become impossible to remove.

    Thats why you use copper grease,anti-corroding..........

    Did any fuse on yours Glen? One of the valves on the wheels I got from you had damage to it, wondered if you had to take them off with pliars?

    A couple did fuse themselves to the valve's m8,a bu33er to get them off.......

    Personally I have never bothered with them, they are the sort of thing that drunken idiots would think funny nick off me when they are stumbling home from the pub with their mates.

    I have only ever seen the ones with a tiny grub screw that holds them in place.

    halfords do a set, the outer shell of them spins so u cant undo the cap, u have to use a special key to get them off, i have these, and have actually seen a couple of kids try and take them, they didnt get them.

    the silver antitheft ones look great but you need to be careful that someone doesnt try to steal them and damages the tyre valve in the process.

    I just have the black ones on mine, saves any hassle!
