    Default 1.8 Idle speed

Is my idle speed to low I ask myself , can it be adjusted to idle slightly higher as it sounds a bit strange . On the rev counter it sits on idle just above 500, its allways done this but now just doesnt seem right . Can it be adjusted to idle higher ? Is this controlled from the ECU ?
