Two general questions...

Hi all,

First want to ask how is the pillar behind my back called? That one that seat belts comes out of it. Am I the only one who can hear soem funny noises produceed by either pillar cover or seat belts?

Another part of my car that irritates me is my brake pedal that also makes some funny noises. How to get rid of those noises? Should they be 'removed' under warranty?

Brake pedal is gonna be either a spring making a noise, or, something in the gearbox on the clutch hydraulics, is it a 1.8 by any chance?

Thanks. Yes, it's 1.8VVT '57. Any official recalls for above problems? I haven't found anything about it in recalls section...
