Default Its gone and done it again

Been away for 2weeks in Wales got back 2day, the dreaded spanner light came on yesterday pm got back to the holiday let ok locked it up and left it in disgust , loaded the car to come home this morning no spanner light first few miles into the ride a fair amount of smoke from the rear thought it might be the dpf burning off , a few miles on and it stopped smoking and the spanner light came back on , by this time im close to Newtown , Powys call in at Arthurs vx dealers they connect it to the box of tricks and it comes up P0100 mass airflow range performance sorted i hoped also added some forte diesel treatment £36.10 all together not bad price . We got home a few hours later but its still not ok it keeps going into limp mode any way i would just like to say a big thankyou to the chaps at arthurs for putting them selves out for us .

Mas air flow unit would be like £140 or so, so guess they didnt actually replace it? or if its out of range could mean not getting enough air in (maybe a leak further along and thus bypassing the MAF)

Please don't tell me they charged you 36 for a Fortron Fi cleaner bottle, I pay #4 each for those on the TC, and they are #12 ish retail iirc.

Better PM Mark GSi, he knows a method to clean the probe in the MAF without damaging it, and whatever you do, do not go at it with a damp cloth, you will kill it.
