    Default AM frequency

Anyone else get a really crap reception on AM stations?

I like to listen to an AM station but noticed since changing the headunit the reception is rubbish, even worse than with the standard cd player.

Is there a way to get it as clear as FM, or even better than it is now so i can actually listen to it??

Right, free plug here, When I put an Alpine in my old SRi, the AM reception was crap, until I invested in an Ed Taylor aerial. After that, it was pretty good, so I could listen to Jon Gaunt all morning!

Isn't the aerial amplified? By fitting an aftermarket unit there may no power to the aerial? Just a thought? Not sure though.
