    Default Alarm flashing

Hi my alarm has been going off a few times recently but it only seems to do it when deadlocked(i think),ive noticed that when i lock my doors the alarm flashes for a while then starts to blink, according to the handbook this means theres a fault of some kind
    anyone else had this ?

When arming the light should come on solid for about 5 seconds, allowing you to close the doors
If the doors are NOT closed, then it should rapidly flash, cancelling the arming
If the doors are closed, then it will flash continuously to show the system is armed

So which of the last two is it doing?

when you lock the doors the alarm will flash constantly for about 10 or so seconds then flash slow after that, this is when all doors are locked via remote locking
on my bro's veccy when you lock his doors the alarm led is solid at first then flashes slowly afterwards
According to the handbook if the alarm led flashes after arming it means there is a fault with the alarm but as i haven't got any safeguard symbols on my dash i thought it might be a simple fix without the need for a tech2

Its ok sorted it (touch wood) checked the switches one by one then i just put something on top of bonnet switch and closed bonnet to see if the led still flashed when armed and it didnt lol
So i might have to try and move the switch up a bit or find something to wedge between the bonnet and switch

Tried that today and its flashing again,i put the bit of folded paper back on it to try and fix it again but no luck !
is there anyway to isolate the switch or bridge it with a bit of wire just to see if its the switch thats faulty ?

I can't get mine to arm either with any of the windows open
Also, if I am too close and have the key, again it won't arm
However, if sit in the rear and get my brother to arm it then walk away, it will arm with me inside
Once armed I then let about 2 minutes to pass, then wave my arms
    we-woo-we-woo

It's such a rubbish alarm noise, my brother just laughed
Also, with the deadlocks on I wasn't able to get out
So make sure you only test it with someone you trust and/or you've got a mobile phone with you!

looks like replacing bonnet switch and motion sensors or a trip to the stealers

Does anyone know how to test the bonnet switch
ive looped the plug for the switch with a piece of wire and armed the alarm but when i remove one end of the wire the alarm dont go off
if i push the wire back in it goes off

I thought if i bridged the plug when i remove one end of the wire it would break the connection and the alarm would sound ? is this right as it only does it when i remove the wire and reinsert it back into the plug
