Heater Blower

Hi, I've got a 2003 2.0 SXi DTi which I don't use very much. Last week I took it out and noticed the Heater/AC fan does not work at all - not like the resistor pack problem, where it only works on maximum. I've checked the fuses and they're OK. The previous time I drove it everything was OK, but now nothing - when either using the rotary control or defrost button. I've checked the pollen filter enclosure, and this is clean and dry, and the drain is clear. Any ideas where to look next. TIA.

Can you get to the motor and see if it can be rotated freely by hand?

Should be able to give the squirrel cage a spin, through the pollen filter - I'll give it a go tomorrow. Thanks.
