Vec Estate ALARM-DOING EVERYONES HEAD IN

This is a posting on behalf of a mate.

He has a Vec-C 2006/2007 Estate. The bl00dy alarm keeps going off every 30 secs with a 10 sec gap, its doing EVERYONES head in, including mine.


The only way to stop it is to open the car, get in via the back door and lock all the doors manually, but he carry's loads of tools so its not ideal and really needs the alarm functioning properly. Anyone know what this could be?

The rear windows of an estate have a tiny wire in them, so if the glass gets smashed the alarm will go off. It has been known for this wire to get damaged and so the alarm goes off. If he has tools in the back moving around one of them could have done the damage. HTH

Will mention this to him. He has tools, but none of them are around the back side windows! Any images of where to look for this effin wire? I may get a brick later on and put his window thru, at least the alarm will have a proper excuse for going off then!

I have the same issue... Vauxhall have told me its the front window regulators!?!?
So they are fitting a pair under warranty Wednesday

It,ll Be The Rear Quarter Windows Vx Can Earth Them Out . I Had This Done To Mine After The Second Set Of Windows Failed And Have Not Had A Problem Since
