    Default Vauxhall In Your Blood

I've heard all the jibes over the years, I've seen em buy Mazda's,Ford's,Nissan's and Pug's, all this time I've bought VX's and had reliable cars that are reasonable to fix and generally only need fixing when components get to their mileage life, I currently have the Skoda Superb, I love this car because it's the closest thing to an Omega that I could've bought, right now I'm preping for a yr old Insignia, I have to be honest and say I don't like the C, even before I got wrote off I was looking to change it because it was too small inside for me, hopefully the Insignia will address this issue and have more rear legroom, or I will choose the new Superb next time, I wanna get back in a Griffin cos I like the experience, the dealers aren't 100% but in comparison imo they lead the field, I love the fact that it's 50% British and feel I'm keeping British cars alive by having one, but there is one major factor, in my driving life I had Ford's until 1987 which were excellent, then I switched to VX, and found I couldn't better them on anything, right now I am looking forward to the birth of the new VX baby and am 90% certain it shall be my next ride, maybe I am biased, but over time the lesson has been if you wanna cab onthe road buy a VX, if you wanna look underneath it, buy anything else and listen to the ramp of repair going up.

    You're up early Ian.

To be honest, I somewhat agre with your comments a bout rear leg room. I don't think it is overly generous for a car of this size, maybe the HUGE boot could have been made a few inches shorter to allow more rear leg space. BUT I do like the HUGE boot too. Swings and roundabouts.

Apart from that, I think it does the job admirably.

I don't think I will be considering the Insignia, as I will probably need to replace my car sooner than when 1 yr old models will be available (i'm looking to change late summer / early Autumn), as I don't buy brand new cars - loose too much money on them.

Ahhh, the old Omega. Still miss mine. IMHO, one of the best riding cars in it's class. The Signum feels like it's got wooden wheels after driving one.
I hope the Insignia continues the improvements that we've been seeing in Vauxhall handling and ride lately -the new Astra was a real revelation to me, so let's hope the new car is as good.

I have changed my cars over the last ten years more than my underpants. I went through loads of bad renaults and fords and to be honest the Vectra is the most reliable, trouble free car I've owned in recent years. Like the look of the Insignia though although found it strange they named it after some old shower gel.....

    I love my Vauxhall. But..

    *Looks around shiftily*

    *Is scared*

I will be joining the BMW camp at some point in the near future. Purely because of the Corp partnerships I can get on them through work.

    *Waits to be beaten!*

Like I say though, absolutely nothing against Vauxhall, I love the space in my C (I never sit in the back, and never had any complaints from the few friends I've had in the back). The ride has been smooth, I've had no problems at all with it and the boot is fantastic. I wish I'd waited and not gone for the 120 Exclusiv, but that's not Vauxhall's fault, ha.

That's pretty well my experience also, although the Skoda seems to be ok, fingers crossed.

Same here guys, Vauxhall thru and thru. Have tried my hand at Ford's, Renault's and even Rovers, but cannot seem to get away from VX's. Been in the family from the early Mk2 Cav's right through to the Vec-C, and now we have 2 of them in the household.

May also add a 3rd car soon, but a smaller one, and guess what thats going to be, yep most likely a Vx Corsa!

    Bye bye Vec B
