Default Can anyone answer this tyre size query?

When i bought my car back in 2006 the tyres on it were 205/55r16 and ive got a 55reg sxi cdti. I've been looking on National Tyres website and Kwik Fit today and they both say that I should have 215/55r16 based on entering my registration. Also they have an offer on at National Tyres buy one get one free on Avon tyres, anyone had any experience with these tyres....any good?

    Thanks Steve

Vehicle : Insignia CDTi SRi NAV 160

I would move up to 17"/18" alloys and put a wider tyre on 225 at least. There is always some for sale on the forum

Depends on what alloys are fitted
It is possible that someone has swapped the original alloys for a pair of older Vectra ones, hence why it now has 205/55R16
However I do agree that the car should have 215/55R16, presuming those are original Vectra alloys

    Steve
you can do what you want, but i wouldnt, they would have different grip levels and may cause the car to be unbalanced (even more so lol).

I would either stick to one or the other but ideally use 215's.
