corsa 1.3cdti

I hope you dont mind a little change of topic for a bit. I am looking at a 56 plate corsa 1.3CDTi Design in metallic Black with around 37K on the clock. I was wondering if anyone has any experience on these cars. I am swapping the wifes old astra for the corsa and giving her the vectra because she does half of her mileage for work and gets paid for it. I can use the corsa for to and fro from work. I believe this is the same engine in the new shape corsa and still returns a good 60+ if driven carefully.
Anyone have any experience they would like to share?

We bought my mum a corsa sxi 1.3cdti and its a little flying machine the engine pulls like a train and returns great economy.

My mums had a few issues(injector lines worked loose due to vibrations) at first but that was when the engine was first introduced to the line up.

Apart from that a great little motor.

As you can see we have three of the little beasties in the family and one even older. All ours are petrol but the cars are great. Only real problem we have suffered is that 2 of the 3 have experienced water coming into the passenger footwell when parked in rain. One resolved and the second coming back to home from Wales this week for the dealer to fix under waranttee. Comfortable and easy to drive; gearing can make the 1.4 and 1.2 petrol models a little tiresome on the motorways. Not driven the 1.3 CDTi but have had a play in the current 1.7 CDTi SRi and that is a little gem. I would always go for the 5 door - but that is personal preference

I had a 1.2 Corsa C, cracking car apart from the hairdrier under the bonnet. The 1.3CDTi is the pick of the engine lineup on those - standard about 75hp, but can be chipped to over 100hp if you want.

I was considering a Corsa D 1.3CDTi 90PS Design to replace the Disastra next year, but would definately have considered another C if they were still current model.

Only thing about the Corsa C Design is you don't get very much spec compared to the SXi. SXI gets the sport seats, suspension, faster steering, and those new fangled alloy wheels.

Thanks guys. Spec on the car is decent but I'm really going for the economy since I'm fed up putting £50 a week in the vectra to travel in and out of glasgow.
Does anyone know where to find a road test result for that year of car?

Great car had a black one on a 04 plate good performance and you can get 500 miles to a full tank ...

Can you please tell me how you resolved the water in the footwell - my daughters corsa has the same problem and I am pulling my hair out trying to find out where is is coming in from !! Cheers
