Default Many thanks to the fire brigade!

was a fire in my block of flats tonight, just wated to say a big thankyou to the fire briigade and say what a great job you all do to any fire fighters on this site, the guys dealt with the fire very quickly and profesionally i have nothing but praise for them, no-one was hurt, only the nutter in the burning flat who answered the door the door to a neighbour before it had taken hold properly and went back inside saying it was under control only to be hangin out the window beggin for help. all is a little wiffy inside mine now but not too bad, been worse after ive burnt me dinner lol

Please evryone support your local fire service, they do one hell of a job!!

yeah thats the one. if you look at the pic you can see my flat in the top right corner of the pic, the window in the tiled part. smells a little cos i had a window open and forgot to shut it when i got out!!!

the report is exaggerrated though, 30 people were not evacuated. the block next to us wasnt evacuated and only 9 people were home in my block and it was only us evacuated.

fire was put out very quickly so wasnt any need to evacuate further, just took ages for investigators to take pictures and electricity board to check etc before we could go back in.

i took a pic of the front of the block too

    Yes, I know
All but a handful of appliances in Scotland now carry FIRE AND RESCUE
One of my colleagues is our liaison with all the Scottish FAS, but this person still calls them The Fire Brigade
I then pull out the phone book and go "I hope there isn't a fire, cos no-one will know what we want!"
