What sort of info are you after?

It's a good Sat Nav unit with a built in Traffic warning system that will re route you around jams/accidents etc. although it can be a bit hit and miss.

You can use postcodes to find destinations but only up to five digits. That bit is very poor. The display is fixed to a Birds eye view so no 3D option like for example on the Tom Tom.

The Sat Nav is driven by a CD which needs to be the unit for it to operate so make sure that it's present when you pick up the car.

You can buy discs for other countries if you travel abroad.

The radio itself will play audio Cd's and Mp3 discs. The 2006 version will not have Aux. input.

The standard funtions will be Sat Nav, Audio and the Trip Computer. If the car has Bluetooth this adds another function on the display.

It's a good bit of kit and you can get an awful lot of information on the car and it's performance from it, including a decent satnav considering it's in-built, especially as it's a life model...

    Good choice...

Could it be a mono display? The colour one is much better to look at.

If you plan to use the navi a lot a Tomtom would be better. I have the mono CD70 and a Tomtom put it that way. Input of the CD70 is slow via the wheel as you need to select each letter of the town then street.

Consider it a bonus if you get a sat nav especially in a life model.

Yep, that's it's downfall. Inputting destinations for the first can be a night out on the drive sitting in the car.

    It's worth persevering with though.

When we went to PVS Tony was around 10 minutes behind us at the end of the M6. I was using the CD70. Tony was using a Garmin unit I think.

The CD70 to re routed us off the M1 and as a result we arrived an hour and a half earlier than Tony because the A45 was closed.

VX need to sort the postcode bit though.

I must admit the warning of stationary traffic was good the other day. I always got to different places so the save feature is not an option for me.

    Yep don't forget the pics.
