Sri tinted rear lights

Has anyone tinted a set of standard rear lights so they look like Sri ones? As far as I can gather it's only the clear reversing lens bit thats different?
(i'm not really a tight wad - my girlfriend drives the car 90% of the time so I don't wanna spend loads on lights she'll probably prang in a few days!)

I'd be interested to know this too - quite a difference between a tenner for tint spray or over a hundred quid for new light clusters...
