    Default Induction for 2.0T

    Had a k&n induction filter fitted a while ago, found it worked better with the bonnet open, so, i had a bullet vent fitted like the one you can see in the pic. Want to get the most out of this even if i have to change the induction system. suggestions please!!

    How do you know it worked better with the bonnet open? What do you actually mean by worked better - do you mean power / torque / response / transients / noise ???

    Where does it take the combustion air from??

    Surely you didn't drive round with the bonnet open? And if not, how do you know it works better?

    IMO if you really want to keep the induction kit (which, for the record, DOESN'T add any power or torque) you need a cold air feed and heat shield.

    i had the bonnet taken off. the induction kit seemed to struggle with it on. the air intake was the standard intake, this was slightly obstructed by the new grill.

    With a cold air feed and enclosed filter it DOES add extra power.

    I would say it does def, water is a prob now, im getting it fixed as we speak
