Default To wax or not to wax!

Following on from this thread I'm about to place my order but spotted this and remember someone telling me I needed to wax my bonnet at Billing as it feels rough.

Question is how hard is this stuff to apply and do I need this as well as polishing my car with AG Super Resin and then AG High Gloss polish (oh and is this stuff really as good as the site says?)

    Cheers!

    Dave

Sorry Dave. Missing something here. Why would putting a wax on sort out rough paintwork?

Deffo clay first mate. The Wax will only perform as good as the prep. If you've not clayed before then its a must followed by a good polish then you wax. For a few more pounds you could have This. I hear good things about Pete's.

Went on to order a foam lance but there out of stock. If they had one I may have just got the pete's myself also.

Wow I feel like I'm sliding down a slippery slope ... the problem is finding the time to do all this stuff ... I just wanted something not too expensive to make the car look clean and shiny and make regular cleaning easier. Maybe I'll step away from the wax and stick with the polish now and again then

It was either that or Purple Haze. With the free postage offer may go for pete's now,

Dave, pity we didn't get together at Billing. I had most of my cleaning stuff in the car including Clay, Polish, Cleaner, Glaze and wax. Could have done a quick demo.

Rich Clayed Matts bonnet on Saturday evening. The results were astounding and as the guys have said Claying the car will sort rough paintwork. If you go with the items you have mentioned you will need a wax to protect it all and the one Rushy pointed out has great reviews.

Black cars eh? Who'd have 'em? lol
