    confused Rims & Rubber !

Been driving my Vec C for nearly 3 years and have covered 35k, the front tyres are almost down to the twi's and rears have around 5mm left.

    The car came with 4 x 16" alloys shod with Bridgestone Turanza ER30s 215/55s & a space saver spare (which I don't like) - I have a predicament.

The cost to replace the tyres like for like (they have been very good) seems excessive at £115 per corner

Do I change both wheels & tyres for say 17" or 18" alloys in hope to improve the looks/handling with the possibility of reduced rubber costs

Or stick with what I've got

    Suggestions please.

    Budget £650/700

I dont think jumping to a 17 or 18" will be less expensive....I dont know the prices over there but I think the rubbers will be same or more expensive but no cheaper.
Plus take into account the cost of new biger wheels also.

I recently paid £104 each for my Bridgestone Taranza's using one of the online tyre sites, and were fitted by a local National Tyre centre.
Tyres were fine but the wheel balance was crap so I ended up paying again for the balance at a different t/fitter so I lost most of the savings I'd made by buying online. lol

I prefer OEM wheels, I just sold my 18 multispokes for £400 with very good tyres but wheels needed a refurb.
