sad sad time's

where do i begin.............

it's not easy typing this as i am still all over the place, but my darling little girl amelia was rushed to hospital on mon eve due to her pulling a red hot cup of coffee on herself, she has burn't her face/chest/arms and back, she was initialy treated in A&E at the QMC then transfered to the burn's unit at the CITY HOSPITAL where she was made as comfortable as possible, and we were told what they would have to do to help her heal hopefully without any scaring, she has had some bio skin put on yesterday morning in a 2.5 hr stint in theatre, all dead skin from her face was removed and a cooling/healing ointment was applied, she was in and out of sleep the rest of the day and looked in so much pain and was now very swollen, i stayed there with her last night so kate could come home and get some much needed rest for herself, amelia slept ok with a few min's of disruption every hr or so as the nurses did there obb's, this morning she had some breakfast, and later some lunch and a play with some toy's, i have just nipped home to get luke and megan from school and a few thing's for her and kate as she is stopping tonight, all being well she will be aloud out tomorrow if the doc's think her wound's are healing ok, finger's crossed please all as i want my baby girl home.....

OMG, that's terrible news, you must be feeling terrible.
It sounds like the medics are doing the right things, and she's obviously making progress now. The important thing is to be strong for her, and keep it together, no matter how you feel inside.
I hope she gets well soon, we'll all be thinking of you.

OMG Rich i hope and pray everything work's out and little amilia has a very quick recovery.
Accident's happen all the time and these kid's will find anything that they shouldnt.
Give her a real big kiss from me mate.

I do know a little of what you are going though, without going into details my youngest was at birmingham childrens hospital for a few days when he was a baby. You will be amazed at how well kids "bounce back" from episodes like this, I would be out for the count for weeks! as big neil says, it does break your heart, but it sounds like your little angel will soon be back home
