    Default rear foglight

was checking over my lights for mot and noticed that one of my rear foglights was not working passinger side, changed over bulbs still not working, went to vauxhall and they said the passenger side does not work only the drivers side works ,wont fail the mot but they could programme it to work if need be, very srrange to have bulb in place and light not working, i will take them at there word and hope it passes mot.

Thats right, the UK you don't need a Rear Fog on the Passenger Side. For UK road use one has to be from the Centre (Peugeot 206 an Example) to the O/Side (Drivers Side).

Obviously in Europe, its the other way round.

As far as I know, some people have simply ran a wire from the Drivers to Passengers side to make them both work.

It will pass MOT. Every ve ctra is the same, alot of modern cars are the same . EU safety thing. So brake lights can be seen easier.

You cannot activate the near side. There is no wiring in place for it. Some people put a link wire from off side. i think this is not a good idea.

Hmm! My Veccy Bs had both and they worked fine and the cars always looked nice and even when they were on - in fog, heavy spray or falling snow of course.

Annoying to find that the housing is there but no wires on the new Signum. The family Corsas and Meriva are all the same too - cheapskates VX again!

One concern with running a wire across the back to enliven the LHS one would be the possible change in resistance that might alter the bulb checks - anyone already done and able to comment?
