    Default How much weight can I carry?!

    Bit of a random question.. Im doing some bits in the garden and want to buy some gravel etc..

    I have a vec hatchback sri just wondering if anyone knows how much weight I can carry in it? (seats down etc) havent got the handbook with me and cant find it on the internet

    if anyones knows that would be brill! thank you!

    i managed about 400 -450kg of sand/gravel quite easily in my signum.

    rent a car from you local hire company for the day and use that, or borrow a company car. Thats what i did, i borrowed one of the company Vectra estates. got everything i need in one trip. thing did struggle a bit and the car was sitting rather low, but it saved wrecking my car

    You have to subtract your weight from the maximum load don't you?

    And remember the SRi sits a bit lower to the ground anyway. Don't want to lose the exhaust on a speed bump.

    yes, and in fact all extras fitted to the car too, because the maximum load is measured for standard cars without heavy options like autobox, sunroof...
