Default 19" Widescreen TFT - Out of focus

Hey guys, as above, I have just put a 19" Widescreen TFT on my Pc and the picture is out of focus, have tried the basic troubleshooting but to no avail.

My PC is about 5 years old and the TFT is newish.

    Could this be it.

Any help would be appreciated, have been told that me PC may not support this as it has a 5h1tey onboard graphics controller.

    Thansk in advance.

That well may be case as it will not be able to support the new resalution of the screen. Whats the recommend screen res for the monitor?

as above, if not (I presume you are on XP/W2K) right click on your desktop (or goto start/settings/control panel/display-settings tab) & adjust the resolution, try 1024 X 768

Tried all of the aboves, still now....now its hurting my eyes! I am using a 19" Crt at the mo, does it mean I need to stick to a "SQUARE" monitor and not a widescreen? Can I get away with a 17" or 19" Square???

No, its second hand.....but looks to be as good as new! Its a Dell jobbie, tried downloading a driver, but there was no setup icon in it. How useful!

You will be using the wrong resolution, lcd panels can only clearly display their native resolution, for a new wide 19" probably 1920x1050.
