    Default Ukanalyst & Mrs Dave’s Billing 2008

If I had to use one word to describe this weekend it would be ‘Fan-Flippin-Tastic!!’

Our weekend started on Friday afternoon after work with the car being packed followed by an emergency visit to Go Outdoors for Wellies and chairs that would fold small enough fit in the car … both things we were really glad of! We then hit the end of the rush hour and started on our trip to Billing via Coventry and Rugby due to this accident

We finally arrived at around 9:30pm by which time it was pitch black and throwing it down with rain; fortunately the Vectra-C gang that had already arrived piled over and helped us put up our tent in no time … MASSIVE thanks to you all for helping Once our tent was up and secure we went across to join the crew who had moved onto helping Chris Gettings put up his tent who’d arrived shortly after us. Tents up and sorted it was over to the Wonky Ratchet for much needed pizza and beer … top marks to Pizza delivery blokes Dean and Jay!

Saturday morning arrived at about 6:30ish for us and a nice hot shower was called for after a late night followed by bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast on our little camping stove Yum! All hands to the deck then for moving the superb new flag across to the pitch, getting the new banner up, gazebos up and cars placed on the stand and it looked great when it was done The rain came and went all day but didn’t bother us at all … we even ended up getting sunburnt! Saturday was a really chilled day for us (in fact the whole weekend was!) but some fantastic work went in to making the whole operation run like a well oiled machine and whilst everyone put loads of effort in it has to be noted just how much Cara, Mark & Duncan bent over backwards to feed us, make the stand look great and keep everyone happy

Saturday night comprised of not one but two (thanks to Caravaner-Tony loaning his super duper gas BBQ) fab BBQs expertly ‘chefed’ by Cara (multi-tasking at it’s finest!) followed by more beer and late night chilled discussions

Sunday arrived a little later for us than Saturday (late nights started to catch up with us) and it was a Scorcher … even more members turned up and made the stand look amazing (with a bit of help from Payney’s super stand-design skills ) Again a fab day and a fab lunch but sadness arrived when we had to pack up ready for heading home … on the plus side though we managed to get our tent back into the bag it came out of first time Big thanks also to Dean for checking out my car and finding five million engine fault codes (but that’s another story! : eek: )

Anyway enough with the typing and onto the pictures! …

The tent's up and ready for action ... on with the show!

Need the wellies though in this mud!

    The sparkly new banner:

Nutron says : How much again for a full wash and polish?

    Blindingly shiny!

Mrs Dave sporting her new Vectra-C.com W(ives)A(nd)G(irlfriends) club shirt

... and modelling her smart new Vectra-C.com club hat:

    Then over to WAG's corner

The Stand on Saturday from across the water:

    ... from the front:

    The stand on Sunday:

    Quick it's raining!!

Mark's never a man to leave a job half done ... rain or not!

    Some more of the stand:

    and the Irmscher stand:

Dean and Jay direct the construction of the BBQ

    Time for food!

An army can't march on an empty stomach!

Duncan wonders if the new flag's meant to smoke like that!

Maybe this man had something to do with it!?

Cara tries to tell Dean he won't light the BBQ with his new side skirts but he won't listen!

Dean thinks he can slip a few naughty posts up on the forum while no one's looking but Mark & Duncan are always watching!

Don't worry ... the BBQ construction went just fine ... a bumper's just a big BBQ!

These two look like they're up to mischief!

How big do you need a rear view mirror to be!!

    Now that's what I call a BBQ:

Hmmm I wonder if you could fit a bigger turbo to these:

Finally my new stickers ... expertly fitted by Duncan ... cheers Duncan

Super write-up Dave, really, really summed it all up - I must get my write-up sorted soon!

The Friday night was certainly 'fun' - constructing a bunch of tents in the pi**ing - but we got there and the pizza and beer that followed was very welcome.

PMSL at the one with Dean directing the BBQ construction!

Was there anyone that didn't get a pic of me carrying that flag back?!
