    For info:
Just purchased supposedly the identical VX Bluetooth car kit in our new Corsa Se (as in brand new factory order car) and find that the kit works completely differently from that in my my Signum. Manuals for the kits are identical.
    Differences:
Signum loads 122 contacts Corsa loads 44
Signum shows single contact number per contact Corsa shows multiple and differentiates between Mobile, Work and Home by uppercase first character in Calls List

Interestingly in the Corsa the LHS steering wheel control acts moving RIGHT if you scroll UP in the Main view but LEFT if you scroll UP in Sat Nav etc. Grr!

Anyone got any suggestions on how to check firmware versions please? Have asked the dealer to verify if any upgrades due on my 2 year old Signum as they did none for its 2nd brithday service yesterday.

Also noticed Apple i-phone added as compatible above - we have tried this and find it to be completely NON compatible - as in it would connect to the kit but would not connect to microphone meaning that the person we called could not hear us at all.

Did you use the same phone in both cars? My car lists contacts differently from my Sony to my Blackberry. The Sony just had 1 name but a directory style breakdown for all other numbers and my blackberry just lists them as home work mobile etc, its all in the data transmission from the phone to the UHP.

The i Phone listed is the 3G is that the same as yours? if not that might be the reason.

Yes - used the same phone in both cars (no point otherwise)- in fact the same phones as I used my own Nokia 6600slide and my wifes Nokia MusicXpress too. Mine is obviously the main phone as I use this for work when travelling - hence the desire to have compatibility between the cars.

The i-phone was a colleagues and he did a quick connect while we were travelling together to a confernece in Scotland last November. I believe it is a 3G one but will check with him when we meet tomorrow.

Just had my Signum back from the dealer after a recall on an engine hose which they had to order the part for and I insisted that they checked the phone kit for firmware upgrades - lo and behold the kit now functions exactly as that in the brand new Corsa Se. So now I can see multiple numbers for the limited number of 48 contacts that the car kit loads across but cannot access the balance of my 122 contacts. The display now shows the contacts list in Surname/First name order (was first name/surname before) and the Calls List now shows notation to identify H: (home) M: Mobile and W: Work for the numbers it shows EVEN if they are not in the 48 contacts ported across - so clearly it is capable of so much more.

My dealer (who I have to say are generally VERY GOOD) is going back to VX technical with this feedback.

I will put up any feedback I get and may try and get some decent photos so ppl can see what I am referring to.

BUT phone will not charge through the cradle. dealer says that it is not designed to charge phone. So i now have a phone holder which is the most expensive in the UK. Q. can the cradle be adapted or altered to charge my phone.

Mine is the same, I know it only connects by bluetooth but it only charges straight after ignition is switched on or off, charges for a few seconds then stops.
Is there a fix or setting to change?
