    Default factory fitted phone

    I have just bought another Vectra and this one has a factory fitted phone kit. i inquired at my local dealer which phone i could get a cradle for. result Nokia 6300 which luckly i have. cradle cost £100 bluetooth connection only. not a problem! BUT phone will not charge through the cradle. dealer says that it is not designed to charge phone. So i now have a phone holder which is the most expensive in the UK. Q. can the cradle be adapted or altered to charge my phone.

    yes the cradles are quite expensive ! But it DOES charge your 6300; the difference with other cradles is that it works only via bluetooth and does not use the external antenna.

    Update !

    First time: UHP with Nokia E 51 not read the Phonebook ! Hmm ... very bad!
    Take a look -- >
    http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/...p/147232#M9285
    Download and install this application -- >
    http://europe.nokia.com/support/temp...ad_S60_3rd.sis
    Another look -->
    http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/...ory/m-p/320298

    After that start the application, Hide and ...wait !
    the Phonebook will apear
    Respect however some rules:
    In the car:
    1. Delete paired devices
    2. On the phone go to Installation and start "Download Contacts", put <Hide>
    3. Pair the devices
    4. contacts will automatically be downloaded and the message "transferring Data" will appear. It will take a few a minutes. Nothing appears to happen and then the phone book on the car's display will appear and your contacts have been downloaded.
    Good luck.
