It could have been done in the car park.

They just put the new spring onto the lever, no need to move the car and only takes about 5 minutes.

I've not heard anything about this "recall". Are they waiting for me to take my car in for a service to do it?

Just take your motor to the dealer and tell them you want it doing. Maybe need to book it in but it's only a 5 min job.

I've not even had a recall letter about this.
I just went to the dealer up the road & asked when they could do it.
He put reg number into computer & could tell from that if they need doing or if work has already been done.

I was waiting to fit the irmscher handbrake cover, didn't want to fit the cover & then find out that they replace the whole lever.

The day it went in, I sat in the waiting area, didn't finish my coffee, it was done that quick

well they actually also stopped the recall... because its not good enough.. (told by Opel) so all recall about that spring the dealers are told to wait.. as they work on another fix instead. (what it is i dont know) but cars that have the "new" spring fittet, will not be called in again.
