    Default Damaged hose?

Took the engine cover off to have a look at the boost hoses and saw this straight away. To me it looks like the hose has started to melt, but i may be wrong...... Could this be causing the spanner light to come on?

There is no air escaping from it but it's really hot to the touch

If that hose went, you'd know about it. It'd be lethargic as a cat in front of a fire and there'd be more smoke than a french peasant.

Could that be the culprit to the car running badly most of the time, and the lovely light appearing? Around the jubilee clip it looks quite bad.

I'm guessing that's a boost hose, how much are they from VX?
