    Default Face level vent surround

How straight forward is it to get the face level vent/info' screen surround off without damaging anything!
    Cheers Pete

If you mean the air vent suround in the middle of dash with screen on it then they come off very easy once you unscrew the 4 screws holding the air vents in from under the plastic trim which runs round the cars dash , The trim from round the air vents just clips off about 4 clips i think then unscrew screen 4 screws, clip new one on same for the side air vents 10 mins done..

Yeah that's the one mate, cheers for that, does the screen come away with it or does that stay in situ' ? as I need to replace the surround only as it's got a large crack by one of the vents.
    Cheers Pete

Yes the screen and vents are all atached to the surround the most nurve racking bit is slowley pulling of the trim . Start pulling of from passanger side use a flat wide metal thing I used a filling knife to leaver out then slowly pop of the popers then you can see the screws , Once you undo the 4 screwsat the bottom the whole thing will pull out then unscrew the screen 4 screws and leave that hanging of its wires then you can un-clip the air vents and you are left with the front surround very easy job 10 mins top. Hope this helps.
Good time to replace the air vents themselfs with the crome wheeled ones you get on the face-lift cars thats what i did with my ones all 4 they look great very shinny...

Many thanks for your info' mate very helpful indeed ,you saying about the the trim removal being the most nerve racking, that is exactly what i was thinking!! I'm pretty handy with a spanner and screw driver , but when it comes to trim removal like that' I can be a right ham fisted git!! So better take my time over that part me thinks!!
    cheers Pete
