Remaps all the way! Though looking at Courtney's results it seems a tad on the low side..... Looking into a few other options myself.

I have had a good chat with Courtenay about this. They have had a lot of experience now with the CDTi engine now.
Ignoring what their website states, they think a max of 190bhp is about the most you should take the 1.9 to ensure good durability.
Over 190bhp and your starting to ask alot from the engine. But at 185bhp, you should never get any problems.
I have driven a 185bhp Vectra CDTi with a re-map and it is a much quicker car than the 185 gained from a box.
On the re-map, boost and ignition curves are adjusted and over all they feel very quick.
I'd like the 200PS remap on the Triple Eight/Thurlby Astra. If they start offering that at this VXR centre you've been mentioning I'll probably go for it!
I am going for a tour of the VXR Performance Centre this Sunday coming. I'll see what is available for what cars etc.

Either way mapping is still better than the box's
The VXR Performance Centre is in Banbury or Brackley I think, find out on Sunday.Originally Posted by ian_c
But yes the idea will be to look what is on offer on their website and call them for an appointment.
I'll get more info on it on Sunday.
Banbury? - that's were I was born and I've got family living there and in Bicester. I could make a weekend of it. Wahoo!
