Default BIG flat spot 3k rpm @ 60 3.0l auto

This car is driving me insane! 3.0L cdti 05 plate sri estate auto.

Pulled out to overtake earlier, slight uphill, foot to the floor past the little 'click' in the peddle, banged up to 60 nicely, then just stopped, it felt like it was thinking about changing gear, then not, then again, then not.... almost almost like if it was a manual the clutch was slipping, but I don't think its that. I ****** hope not at 46k!!!!

Then earlier going up my drive (pretty steep) it hit a flat spot about 15mph 2000rpm and just had 0 power at all, just took my foot off the peddle, put the power back on and it was fine....

I really really really can't be arsed to take it back to Vaux as they are just a total pain in the arse here.

    Anyone got any ideas????

my gut says clutch! I think it must be the engine, it shifts ok most of the time. It seems far far too dramatic to be the airbox.....

there is no real 'clutch' in the auto... just brake bands for each gear...

before you go much further, take it into an automatic transmisson specialist..

just reread your first post it does sound a bit dramatic for air-box just had a quick look and spotted flat spot

take it back to vauxhall it there fookin job to sort it but sounds like it could be clutch related

....could be gearbox........does it do it when you acelerate from standstill on a flatish road .....? do the engine revs drop ..or rise ..does the gearbox seem to react to the rev change ..? strange question this when the car is hot and has been driven and your pull up to a junction with you foot on the break does the car hunt and seem to want to move off ...
